Grant Funds for Local Businesses

Hayward Community Credit Union is excited to announce the distribution of $20,000 in grant funds to local businesses and non-profit groups.   By means of the Federal Home Loan Bank COVID Relief Program, HCCU was able to secure funds for our local area that have been negatively affected by the onset of COVID-19.  The criteria for selection included non-profit, minority owned, diverse & inclusive businesses, and businesses who lost revenue during the mandatory COVID closures.  We strove to find the hardest hit businesses, especially those that are privately owned and had a noticeable decline in revenue over the past months.  The grants are being processed through our CU $mile Program which was developed to allow our entire staff to experience the credit union motto of: “People Helping People” through random acts of kindness.  We are extremely hopeful that this positively impacts our local communities and enables our small businesses to survive during a time of economic crisis.  At HCCU, we know that small towns have big hearts and we are proud to support ours.  We look forward to keeping our community safe and profitable through these trying times.
